Purpose

• To decide on the reparability of an aircraft (Article 89 Section 1 of Customers Law)

• Article 35 of Duty Implementation Law

Main tasks

• review the application of necessary standards in the designated facility to decide if it can be specialized in repairing aircraft and components

  ※ check the availability of facilities and equipment to repair aircraft, maintenance shop and aircraft maintenance crew

Definition of a designated facility

• Designated facilities are the ones that are eligible for a discount on import duties when purchasing raw materials to be used for repairs of any damaged aircrafts.
